Current Research Interests

치주질환은 그람-음성 세균에 의해 개시되는 만성염증성 질환으로 성인의 치아상실의 주요원인이다.

치주질환의 진행은 숙주의 유전적 요인과 환경적 요인이 복합적으로 작용하는 다인자성질환이다.
세균/숙주/환경적 요인 중 특히 치주질환의 유전적 요인으로서, 치주질환을 일으키는 후보유전자 및 그 유전자다형성을 찾고 있다.

이 연구결과는 치주질환 병원성 및 조절 기전 연구에 이바지할 수 있을 것이다.
